*Update* Jan. Visitors: Set/Probable/Possible

Here are the *UPDATED* set visits, probable visits, possible visits for Michigan. Michigan has one non-committed visitor for this weekend -- will they have any at all the next two? There IS one new name that has popped up, from the alma mater of a former U-M player ...

LIKELY JANUARY VISITORS:

January 12th Official Visit Weekend

Nashville, Tenn. WR Rashad Mason (6-5, 225, 4.5) from Pearl-Cohn High. Mason's visits: North Carolina (Jan. 5), Michigan (Jan. 12), UCLA (Jan. 19), LSU (Jan. 26), and Ole Miss (Feb. 2).

Michigan commitment #12: S.C. WR J.R. Hemingway (6-2, 200, 4.58 at U-M Camp) from Conway, S.C. Four-star, Scout.com's #95 prospect. He committed to Michigan on Aug, 24, with Florida and Miami finishing 2nd. He visited U-M on June 23. He was a 2005 U-M camper and also camped at South Carolina. He claims a 37-inch vertical jump. As a senior Hemingway recorded 83 receptions for 1,135 yards (13.7 yards per catch) and 13 touchdowns. Conway went 13-2 and lost in the state finals.

Michigan commitment #7: James Rogers (6-2, 190) from Madison Heights Lampheer. Three-star, Scout.com's #20 State of Michigan prospect. A possible college safety. He attended all the U-M homes games this season. He had a strong camp week -- fast, caught everything, even Ryan Mallett's bullets (more shredded gloves to show for it!) -- and received an offer and accepted it on June 22nd.

Michigan commitment #13 Calif. RB Avery Horn (5-10, 180, 4.5) from Hanford. The 3-star Scout.com prospect committed to the Wolverines on Aug. 24, over Washington and WSU, Oregon and OSU, Nebraska and Fresno State. Horn is a blazing running back with back-to-back 10.5 second 100 meter dashes to his credit during the spring 2006 track season. His senior season Horn rushed for 933 yards and 10 touchdowns on 117 attempts in seven games (he missed three with a hamstring injury). He concluded his career with a number of Hanford records, including its yards per carry average (9.36-yard average)

January 19 Official Visit Weekend

*NEW* not visiting -- N.Y. OL John Elliott (6-4, 290) from East Meadow, New York. GBW warned readers a month ago that this one was not happening. Rutgers is considered his leader.

*NEW* probably not visiting -- Missou. OL Donald Stephenson (6-6, 280) from Blue Springs. Off field problems make this visit very iffy.

January 26 Official Visit Weekend

Indianapolis Warren Central DE Jeff Boyd (6-2, 280). His favorite is Michigan but the hangup with Boyd is grades (2.0 GPA/14 ACT). He also visits Indiana Jan. 12, Kentucky Jan. 19 and Ole Miss Feb. 2.

Probable visitor: N.C. DE Kourtnei Brown (6-5, 220, 4.6) from Charlotte Victory Christian. He'll likely visit Clemson Jan. 12 and either Tennessee the 19th, with U-M on the 26th.

Possible visitor: Tenn. DL Mark Fisher (6-2, 265) from Madison Goodpasture. This visit may or may not occus for the DL who may have to play OL in college.

Other possible/probable January visitors:

*NEW* possible visitor: LM Renaldo Sagesse (6-4, 320 pounds) from Montreal Cegep Du Vieux (Alain Kashama's alma mater). He is an Illinois commitmet; we'll see what happens here.

Possible visitor: Tenn. LB Chris Walker (6-2, 220, 4.55) from Memphis Christian Brothers. He is a Tennessee commitment -- there are mixed messages on whether he'll visit U-M, LSU, Alabama in Jan., or stay home and stick to his Tenn. commit.
