Ohio Linebacker Impresses at Army Combine

Perhaps the top Midwest linebacker at the Army Junior Combine was Jamiihr Williams, who was a Michigan camper last summer, and who made it to two Wolverine games this past fall as well. Here is GoBlueWolverine's combine interview and scouting report on him.

Perhaps the top Midwest linebacker at the Army Junior Combine was Jamiihr Williams, a 6-1.5, 220 pound linebacker who is attending Cleveland Glenville this fall -- he is transferring in to Glenville from Lima Ohio.

Wililiams told GoBlueWolverine, "I'm interested in Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Florida State, West Virginia."

And, we asked him, what schools have shown the most interest in you?

"Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, Ole Miss."

"Michigan's linebacker coach, Coach Szabo, has talked to me, and also Coach Debord."

He has been up to Michigan, as he told us:

"I went up to Michigan for two games last fall, the Vanderbilt game and one other, the Iowa game."

And he has camped at Michigan as well:

"I camped last summer at Michigan and Bowling Green."

"At the Michigan camp -- one on ones are what I excelled in. That's what Coach Szabo told me too."

And what schools are his favorites?

"Ohio State, Michigan and Florida State."

As far as a timetable:

"I'd like to decide just before the season starts."

Here is GoBlueWolverine's Army Combine scouting report on Williams:

We paid pretty close attention to LB Jamiihr Williams from Cleveland Glenville, because he is a transfer from Lima Ohio who played his junior ball at Lima ... and he likes Michigan. He looked 6-1+, 220, and did well in one-on-ones and looked good running his 40 and shuttle ... he's a tweener LB that is more of a MIKE IMO. A 4.7 40 type guy we'd say. He reminded us of Cobrani Mixon at the same age.
