Christian Wilson Profile
Tell us your height, weight, and position.
“I’m 6-3, 221 pounds and I play running back and linebacker.”
How did your season go?
“Our record this year was 4-5. We did better than we did in past years. We were 1-8 for the past three years, and then we finally did better this year. I had 137 carries for 950 yards and 70 or so tackles on defense.”
What position do you want to play in college?
“I hear H-back or a slot position. I like that.”
For people that haven’t seen you play, is there a player in college or the pros that you could be compared to?
“Probably a Michael Bush. Sometimes I’ll try to shake you, but most of the time I’ll just try to go through you.”
What schools are you hearing from at this point?
“Michigan, Louisville, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia. Some of them came up to the school. Loeffler from Michigan, Daniels from Ohio State (for instance). They’ve all been telling me about their programs… just talking to me basically.”
Have you attended camps at any of those schools?
“I went to camp at Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia. I didn’t get to go to the far away ones. I’ll probably go this year.”
Have any of them offered you?
“Pitt is going to (offer) after this camp. Louisville has offered me. Michigan and all them said they were doing it a little later.”
Which ones are you most interested in?
“I like Pitt because I want to go into physical therapy and their program is one of the top ones. Notre Dame is another smart school… Michigan, Ohio State, and probably LSU. That’s my top five.”
Did you grow a fan of a particular school?
“No, I was more of a fan of players instead of schools.”
What are going to be the most significant factors in your choice?
“One will probably be if they are real good in what I want to study. If they have physical therapy, they are going to be higher because that’s what I want to learn.”
Do you have a decision timetable?
“I haven’t talked about it really. I was kind of thinking maybe before the season so there isn’t a lot of stress on my shoulders and I can just go out and play football. Then I was thinking about waiting until the end because I might get to learn more about the schools.”
Is distance going to be a factor in your choice?
“Yeah. The farthest I’d want to go away would probably be six hours driving distance. I don’t want to go too far. I have a little brother who’s pretty good in football too, and I want to watch him.”
