Top Army Combine DE Likes Maize 'n Blue

The younger brother of an Army All-American defensive linemen wowed 'em at the Junior Army Combine -- and of this D-end Scout.com said, "... may have more upside than his brother ... tremendous amount of athletic ability ... and at the combine he showed that he could translate that athleticism into being a force off the edge." And -- this guy really likes Michigan. Read on!

One of the juniors GoBlueWolverine scouted at the Army Combine was defensive end Dexter Heyman (6-3+, 220) from Louisville Male High School. Dexter's brother Earl was a defensive linemen for the East in the Army All American game, and GBW got a heads up on the younger Heyman from the Scout.com staff who sent him our way for an interview.

Here is what he told us:

"So far I'm getting letters from Michigan, and I'm planning to attend the Michigan Camp this summer."

As far as scholarship offers, he told us, "Louisville has offered me so far." And he has early favorites: "I have four schools I like best: Michigan, Louisville, Tennessee and Florida."

"So far I don't have a leader ..." but he went on to make another statement to us ... for what he said to us click HERE to read it on the GoBlueWolverine's Premium Message Board, The Victor's Club.

For Scout.com's scouting report on him -- and GBW couldn't say it better -- click here: Army Combine: East Defense. Heyman is a bit of a raw talent as a DE because he has to get bigger and stronger, but he is fast -- and he is already considered a Top 100 Junior.
