Another Top Combine CB Has U-M Interest

One of the top cornerbacks at the Army Junior Combine was Jarred Holley from Easton, Penn. Holley already has several offers, and he has an interest in the Wolverines -- in fact a current Michigan commitment is one of his best friends. Here is GoBlueWolverine's interview with him.

One of the top cornerbacks at the Army Junior Combine was Jarred Holley from Easton, Penn. (he was named to Scout.com's first team All Combine Team -- click HERE) In our scouting report on Holley, we said he was just a slight notch below CB's Boubacar Cissoko and Floridian Patrick Johnson (who were arguably the top two combine performers overall -- Cissoko was named Combine MVP). Holley is a 'glider' -- a natural cover corner, fast (4.5 guy) and smooth at 5-11 and around 180 pounds. He reminded us of a more mature Chris Richards (Richards of course is at an unfortunate disadvantage at U-M because he's almost 2 years younger than others in his grade, but the guy is also a 5-11 'glider').

GoBlueWolverine spoke with Holley at the combine, who told us:

"I have offers from Penn State, Northwestern, Virginia and Pittsburgh, Northwestern and North Carolina State."

And he added, "I'm very interested in Michigan as well. They have been in contact, and have been in my school."

"Toney Clemons and I are real close, we text message each other all the time."

Regarding his friend Clemons, Holley said, "I knew he was going to sign with Michigan before he committed. He is a great receiver -- he's physical, and he's faster on the field than his 40 time."
