Ronald Johnson kicked off what was slated to be a busy ten days when he made his way to Gainesville, Florida for his final official visit last Friday. After an extremely impressive trip to the Sunshine state, the Florida coaching staff attempted to capitalize on their positive momentum by conducting their in-home visit just hours after Johnson returned home to Muskegon Sunday evening. Rumors about a possible commitment to the Gators swirled in the aftermath of their whirlwind courtship, but in a conversation with GoBlueWolverine last night, his mother indicated that was not the case.
"It was a really good visit," Mrs. Johnson said regarding her son's time in Gator country. "He had a good time and really enjoyed himself. Now the next step is to get through these (in-home) visits. We're going to start putting things together this week as the coaches are coming in, then we'll try to come to a decision."
USC was the next team on the docket, completing their in-home last night. Ohio State is scheduled to be in today. The Michigan Wolverines, who were previously slated to head in on Thursday, will now be making their way to Muskegon on Wednesday.
GoBlueWolverine will have more from Johnson himself on where things currently stand in his recruitment later this evening.
