Ohio OT Adams on U-M Jr. Day, Top 5

Dublin (Ohio) Coffman's Mike Adams is a huge (6-7+, 300+) offensive tackle who some call the top overall prospect in Ohio for the 2007-08 recruiting class. Agile as well as huge, at January's Army Junior Combine he was named First Team All Combine. And he attended Saturday's Michigan Junior Day ... GBW spoke to him about it. He talked about the day -- and made a change in his Top Five.

Dublin (Ohio) Coffman's Mike Adams (6-7, 320) is one of the top 2-3 offensive tackle prospects in the country for 2007-08. GoBlueWolverine spoke to him Monday afternoon.

Tell us a little about your Michigan Junior Day experience.

"I had fun. I really liked the campus as we were getting bussed around on a tour. I thought everything was real nice."

"I talked to Coach Carr, me and my family. And I talked to Coach Moller (U-M's OL coach) pretty much all day."

"I also talked to Coach Loeffler a lot; he's my recruiter for Michigan" (Coach Loeffler has Northern Ohio).

"The day gave me a chance to talk a lot more to the Michigan coaches, and I got a deeper look at Michigan. I'd been to a game my sophomore year, but hadn't been back to Michigan since then."

What about a Michigan offer for you?

"I'd already gotten a Michigan offer -- I called and talked to Coach Carr on Signing Day. Jake (Stoneburner, his Coffman teammate) got offer Saturday by Coach Carr."

What other Junior Days have you been to or are you going to?

"I've been to Junior Days at Michigan State, Notre Dame and Cincinnati. I have trips (along with Stoneburner) to Tennessee and Ohio State coming up soon."

You recently told Scout.com that you have a Top 5 of Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, LSU and Tennessee ... is that still accurate for you?

"Yes, pretty much ... just take Notre Dame out, and put in Florida."

What is your timetable?

"I plan to take my official visits."

Do you have any plans yet for the spring or summer?

"I'm going to the Friday Night Lights camp at Florida ... that's it so far."
