Dublin (Ohio) Coffman offensive tackle Mike Adams claims the top spot in the first edition of the Midwest 100 rankings. The 6-foot-8, 285-pound Ohio State pledge is a prototype left tackle.

"Watching Adams move is what impresses you most. He is as nimble as most guys who are half his size,"'s Midwest Recruiting Analyst Bob Lichtenfels said. "He is the best pass blocker I have seen in the past few classes."

Michigan commitment Boubacar Cissoko burst onto the national scene down in San Antonio, Texas where the 5-8, 174-pound cornerback put on a clinic. The Cass Tech standout is the top player in the state of Michigan and one of the best lockdown cover corners in the nation.

Charlie Weis continues to build an impressive arsenal of offensive weapons and he scored a major coup when he went into Ohio and plucked Elder tight end Kyle Rudolph. The 6-7, 235-pound Rudolph is a multi-dimensional threat. He is a solid blocker and an exceptional receiver.

New Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster and his staff have done quit a job as the Gophers have five commitments in the Midwest 100, the most of any one team in the region.
