OL Zach Schlink Talks About Michigan Offer

Arizona offensive guard Zach Schlink lives in the suburbs of Phoenix, but he has family connections in Michigan. He's a hot prospect who has offers coming in fast now ... including, he told GoBlueWolverine, one from the Wolverines.

GoBlueWolverine spoke Wednesday to offensive guard Zach Schlink (6-4, 295) from Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona.

Has Michigan offered you a scholarship?

"Yes. On Tuesday Coach English came to my school and watched me work out. He said he thought Michigan would offer me."

"Then he called me back today (Wednesday) and said Michigan was offering me a scholarship."

And you have family in Michigan?

"My mom was born in Michigan, in Grand Rapids. She lived there until she was in 6th grade."

"She still has family in Grand Rapids, and in Ann Arbor."

"When I called her and told her Michigan had offered me, she was pretty excited."

Did you grow up a Michigan fan?

"I've lived all my life in Arizona, so I grew up following the instate schools, Arizona and Arizona State."

Do you ever get back up to Michigan for visits?

"We visited Michigan a few years ago. And my relatives in Ann Arbor took me over to the Big House and we walked around. It was pretty awesome."

Who else has offered you?

"Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, Oregon, Oregon State, Oklahoma, San Diego State, Utah, Nevada, and Illinois."

Do you have a top 3-4-5?

"I have a top five. In no order: Michigan, Arizona, Arizona State, and Colorado ... and Oklahoma."

Do you have any summer plans yet?

"I plan to attend the instate schools' summer camps."

"I'd like to visit Michigan, but we'll see if we can get up there."

"I do plan to take an official visit to Michigan."
