*NEW* Instate DT Mike Martin (6-1, 290) from Detroit (Novi) Catholic Central. He has a Michigan offer now - U-M was in his school and offered late May 10th. He had an excellent PSU Nike Camp. He was the state heavyweight wresting champ this past winter and has a 400+ pound bench press. Michigan is his favorite.
*NEW* Ga. DT Omar Hunter (6-1, 290) from Buford. He broke his leg in early May. He'll visit his childhood fav U-M this summer. Meanwhile his offers pile up, lncluding (in addition to U-M) from Notre Dame, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn ... who are next after U-M for him, and FSU. He claims a 400+ lb. bench press, and that he made over 100 tackles from his DT spot as a junior.
*NEW* Pa. DT Chris Henderson (6-3, 280) from Harrisburg. Henderson had an excellent Pitt Scout.com Combine, showing speed and aggressiveness as well as strength. U-M is his first offer, Syracuse his second, and U-M and Pitt are his top two. He is a transfer from Harrisburg Bishop McDivitt to Harrisburg High.
*NEW* Nev. DT Lawrence Guy (6-5, 265) from Las Vegas Western. He has a Michigan offer now, and a top 3 of Michigan, Arizona and Oregon State. He has an Arizona offer as well. As a junior he recorded 90 tackles and 11 sacks, earning all-state honors.
*NEW* Ill. DT Garrett Goebel from Lombard Montini Catholic. He has a U-M offer now, as well Notre Dame, Tennessee, OSU (his top 4?), and Florida (or do the Gators replace Tennessee in a top 4?) as well as Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Arizona State, and others. This summer he plans to visit Ohio State, Notre Dame,
Michigan and Florida. With the offers piling in now he is strying to stay open. As a junior DL he recorded 16 sacks.
*NEW* Mich. DE Nicholas Perry (6-4, 235) from Detroit Cass Tech. He has a U-M offer now as well as one from MSU, West Virginia and Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota. Does U-M lead? Or U-M and MSU? He'll camp at both. He attended the U-M Spring Game. He attended a Jan. U-M basketball game, and the U-M Junior Day. He put on a good performance at the Army Junior Combine. As a junior he had 75 tackles and 11 sacks.
*NEW* Instate DE Tyler Hoover (6-7, 245) from Novi. U-M and MSU may lead, or visa versa. He attended the U-M spring game, and was at Michigan's practice on Saturday, Mar. 24 and on Tues., Apr. 3 -- where U-M offered him. U-M and MSU are his top two, and he has Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue, Duke, Vanderbilt Cincinnati, EMU and CMU offers as well. He would like to make an early decision.
*NEW* Wa. DE/TE Kavario Middleton (6-6, 240) from Lakewood Lakes. The Top 100 Junior has a U-M offer now, as well as USC, the instate schools, the Oregon schools, and the Arizona schools. If he leaves the Northwest (somewhat problematic), U-M is considered to have a good shot. As a junior TE he caught 34 passes for 412 yards and six touchdowns.
Ore. DT/DE Ethan Johnson from Portland Lincoln. U-M offered the last week in April. He will make a Midwest trip this summer, including to U-M. He has offers from schools such as U-M, USC, Notre Dame and Auburn as well as the instate schools (both of which he has visited).
