Tennessee's Top Tackle to Visit Michigan

Preston Bailey is a 6-5, 315 pound offensive tackle from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. The big guy has scholarship offers from much of the SEC ... and he has plans to visit Ann Arbor.

GoBlueWolverine spoke Saturday to the state of Tennessee's most highly regarded offensive tackle, Preston Bailey, who was named First Team All State as a junior.

Are you making a Michigan visit this summer?

"Yes I am ... it'll be in early July."

"Michigan was in my school this spring, and is a school I'm interested in."

What is it about Michigan that appeals to you?

"It is one of the top schools in the US, it's a great competitor in football, and it has great academics. On academics alone, Michigan is known for it's excellence."

What schools have offfered you so far?

"Ole Miss, Tennessee, Miami, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Vanderbilt, and Middle Tennessee."

Has Michigan offered you?

"No, not as of yet."

Do you have a Top 3-4-5 schools?

"No, I'm not ready to name a top five as of yet."

What is your decision timetable?

"I definitely plan to take five official visits. I'd like to take then during the fall, and then make my decision right after the season ends."

As may be surmised from his talk about academics, Bailey is a strong student, sporting a 3.6 GPA.
