New Michigan quarterback commitment John Wienke of Tuscola high had quite the junior season. He finished the year completing 186 of 330 passes for 3221 yards, 34 TDs and just 7 INTs. He also added 401 yards rushing on 75 carries and 8 TDs. For good measure, he also averaged 40.4 yards a punt and some schools are recruiting him as a punter as well.

At 6'5, 210 lbs, he has great size for the next level. He runs the forty in 4.75 seconds and playing in a spread offense in high school has prepared him for college. He reads defenses well and gets rid of the ball quickly.
