Quarterback Steven Threet made his way back to Michigan today, transferring from Georgia Tech to U-M.
The big 6-5, 230 pounder was the #3 prospect in the state of Michigan, and a 4-star prospect, for this incoming freshman class (the '07 class, click HERE).
Threet was an early enrollee at Georgia Tech this winter, where the strong-armed signalcaller went through spring ball and quickly moved into the #2 QB spot (click HERE).
However, Threet decided he wanted to return home.
Threet told GoBlueWolverine Wednesday night, "I got my release from Georgia Tech and am visiting Michigan tomorrow (today, Thursday). I'll let you know what happens."
And - now - he just told GoBlueWolverine -- "I did it! I'm transferring to Michigan!"
Threet wowed observers at the spring high school combines and the Michigan Camp a year ago with his arm as well as his accuracy, and he is "high 4-star" quality ... in this year's class he'd be a top 10 QB prospect. He is big, strong, and has a great arm.
