TN OT Bailey One of Two Top Visitors

The Wolverines had two top unofficial visitors on campus today. One was Tennessee offensive tackle Preston Bailey. GBW asked him -- did he leave with a U-M offer?

GoBlueWolverine spoke Monday evening to Preston Bailey (605, 315) from Memphis, Tennessee, Ball Academy.

You were at Michigan today?

"Yes, I just finished my visit. It was a great visit."

Did you get a scholarship offer?

"Michigan offered me a scholarship right at the end of the visit, I went in and met with Coach Carr in his office and he told me I have a scholarship to Michigan."

Did you commit?

"No. I plan to make my decision after the season."

"I plan to take official visits to all of my top five."

Do you have a top five set yet?

"I will announce my top five all at once, before the summer is over ... I don't what to say who'll be in it, but there's a good chance Michigan will be one of them."

Are you going to visit anywhere else this summer?

"I don't think so. It will be hard from this point on since we're starting two-a-days."

What schools have you visited so far?

"This summer I visited UT (Tennessee), Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech ... and today Michigan."

Talk a little about your visit.

"I spent time talking with all the coaches, particularly my recruiting coach, Coach Stripling, and with the offensive line coach, Coach Moeller."

How about plers you spent time with?

"I met Mario Mannningham. And I spent time with pretty much all the offensive linemen and defensive linemen. They all wanted to meet me to see if I'd fit in at Michigan ... that was an honor for me to meet with them and then to be offered by Michigan."

You were up in Michigan visiting the last few days?

"Yes, I have relatives in Grosse Point. I'd been there several times to visit, but I'd never been to the University of Michigan before."

Are you going anywhere else on this Northern trip?

"No, tomorrow night I'll return home, and that'll be it for the summer."

What is an accurate height and weight for you? And what position do you see yourself playing in college?

"I'm 6-5, 315 pounds. I've always played tackle, and I believe that's what I'll play in college ... but once I pick a team I'll just be at their service, in whatever way I can."
