After months of thorough research and numerous campus visits to every school on his list of suitors, Plainsboro South (Princeton Junction, NJ) LB/TE J.B. Fitzgerald may be coming down the home stretch in his recruitment. The four star prospect is even more firm about the schools sticking out on his list and he can finally see light at the end of the tunnel.
If and when he does settle on a choice, it is likely that only the parties directly involved will get word right away. Recruiting fans might just have to wait a while to hear the news,
"I'm still looking at announcing on my birthday (November 13th), but I don't think I want to wait that long to let the school know," said Fitzgerald. "I'll probably just be a silent commit and then just announce a little bit later down the road."
Fitzgerald initially broke of his announcement schedule to GoBlueWolverine earlier this month, but it now appears that that date is not necessarily set in stone.
"It's still a tentative date," he explained. "It could be around then. I could move it up. It's real tentative. I'm probably going to announce it on ESPN. ESPNU asked me to be on their station."
For the time being, though, Fitzgerald indicated that he still has some things to figure out. With three clear favorites, the task before him now is further sorting them out by hitting the road for another visit or two.
"I'll definitely take my Michigan visit for sure," Fitzgerald said. "I could have a decision by then. I may not. I may need to take a couple of more visits. It's really up in the air at this point."
