Preston Bailey Talks Michigan

The big offensive tackle from Nashville, Tennessee visited Michigan in late July, and GoBlueWolverine spoke to him right afterwards. Not that a few weeks have past, does he see the Wolverines being one off his final five schools?

GoBlueWolverine spoke with Preston Bailey (6-5, 315) from Nashville Montgomery Bell.

Now that you've had some time to ponder it, how would you say your Michigan visit of a few weeks ago went?

"The visit went really well. I really got a chance to meet the coaches and some of the players."

Do you have an official visit to Michigan scheduled?

"Not yet. I want to though. It's on my list of schools I want to visit."

"I want to see what it's going to be like on game day and in the stadium."

"I really want to come to the Michigan-Ohio State game."

What other schools do you want to visit before you decide?

"Tennessee, Miami, Florida, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame."

(Florida and Notre Dame have not offered him as yet.)

What are you looking for in a school?

"I'm looking for three main things: academics, athletics, and campus life."

What school did you grow up rooting for?

"(laughs) Well I grew up a big Tennessee fan. But I'm pushing past that and giving all the schools an equal chance."

Does Michigan's weather influence your decision?

"No ...well, I would actually like to play in cooler weather. I love the winter and hate the summer."

And you have family in the Detroit area?

"Yes. My mom's brother lives in Grosse Pointe, and so I have cousins there as well."

When are you looking to decide?

"I want to take all my officials before I decide, so I'm looking at after the season."

Bailey was named first team All State as a junior. He carries a 3.5 GPA and scored an 1180 on the SAT.
