Update on Kavario Middleton

Kavario Middleton's coach told Scout.com that the big TE/DE has set his first official visit in the fall - to Michigan. GoBlueWolverine spoke to Kavario's father for confirmation.

Lakewood Washington tight end/defensive end Kavario Middleton (6-6, 260, 4.7) is a 5-star prospect, so yesterday's report (click here) that he'd set his first official visit to Michigan made fans sit up and take notice.

GoBlueWolverine decided to tall the Middleton home to make sure. We spoke with Reggie Middleton, Kavario's father, who we'd spoken to in the past.

Mr. Middleton said:

"We are in the process of looking at dates and visits. But no visits have been set yet - none."

"Kavario has narrowed things to six schools, and Michigan is one of the six."

Those six schools are Michigan, Miami, Washington, Oregon, Cal and ASU.

GBW will keep on top of this situation ... it is not out of the question that the Oct. 6th date will find Middleton in Ann Arbor ... it is just not set yet. This past summer he has made unofficial visits to Washington and Oregon.

Meanwhile, Mr. Middleton said:

"Kavario's first game is this Saturday."

All the schools in Kavario's top six are recruiting him as a tight end except Michigan, which reportedly wants him as a defensive end.

Mr. Middleton said:

"He's playing on both sides of the ball this season, tight end and defensive end."

As a junior for Lakes High School, Middleton made 34 catches for 412 yards and six touchdowns.
