Brandon Smith attended the Rutgers-Buffalo game Saturday:
"I went to the game and met with Coach Schiano before the game. We talked for quite a bit and that went really well. Afterwards we hung out at the recruiting tent. Then they took us on the field for a bit before the game. Later on we went to our seats for the game which was real exciting."
When asked about his thoughts of the game, he said "the whole atmosphere for the season opener was off the hook. It was a great time."
It appears the local propect will be a regular at home games this season. He stated that he will certainly be at Rutgers this following weekend for the Navy game.
Of interest, Brandon Smith says he has gotten a good deal of calls on the status of one of his leaders, Michigan. "I have literally received about 100 calls and texts from people on the outcome of the Michigan-Appalachian State game. After it occured, my phone just exploded. It was kind of crazy. It has not changed my overall thoughts on the program. They are still a great school and traditional powerhouse."
Smith has played well in his two early scrimmage this year against Piscataway and Hoboken. He is playing both ways, at the QB position of offense and the safety position on defense. New Brunswick will play their first regular season game of the year on September 15th against Rashad White's led Teaneck Highwaymen.
