Almost as quickly as it surfaced, it was gone. That best describes Detroit Cass Tech star Boubacar Cissoko’s plan to take in an Illinois game this weekend. The five-star cornerback had been fielding calls from programs all over the country, but most frequently from a few from the Big Ten, namely Michigan State, Illinois, and Purdue. The youngster has entertained their calls in recent months do in large part to their insistence that “Coach Carr and Coach English won’t be there next year.” That caused some uncertainty on his behalf… but no more.
“Man look, I’m 100%,” Cissoko said regarding his commitment to Michigan. “I’m done. You can write that down. That’s real talk. I’d been thinking about saying that I’m done (to the other schools), but I’ve been second-guessing myself. Well, now I’m done for sure.”
Cissoko indicated that a conversation with his Michigan recruiter put this issue to bed for good.
“I talked to coach Erik Campbell and he told me aint nobody getting fired,”
Cissoko said. “He said, ‘you’re our guy and you’ve always
wanted to come here.’ He said, ‘come on over… everything is
going to be the same.’ I’m done now. I’m not taking anymore
visits. I’m not going no where else. No other football games. Just Michigan.
