Yours truly talked tonight (Tuesday) to All-American defensive back/‘athlete' Ryan Mundy (PSU Nike stats: 6-2, 200 lbs., 16 reps of 185 lbs.; 4.45 in the 40, 10.7 100 meters, 290-lb. bench press, 2.7 GPA/830 SAT in 2001) from Pittsburgh, Penn., Woodland Hills (teammate of Steve Breaston). We asked him about his upcoming visits, both official and unofficial.

"I have one official visit set, December 13 to Virginia."

"When I talk to Michigan this week I'll try to get my official visit set. They'll probably give me some dates and then I'll go over them with my parents."

"I'll be at the Michigan/Michigan State game. I don't know if it'll be for my official visit, or as an unofficial visit. I'd kind of like it to be my official visit. But I'll be there for sure for the game either way."

I asked him, are Michigan and Pitt still your top two?

"Yeah. I think Michigan still has a slight edge, but it's very very close."

And Mr. Mundy added:

"You're calling on behalf of The Wolverine Insider? So you're on a different site!"

This will be Mundy's second visit to Michigan this fall; he made an unofficial visit for the Aug. 31 Washington game. Woodland Hills is currently 6-0 and ranked No. 1 in the state of Pennsylvania, in the largest school classification. Mundy is playing wideout and safety. He is a member of several top 100 teams, including Tom Lemming's.
