Staff Predictions: Week Six

Michigan heads back out of conference with a weekend match up against the Eastern Michigan Eagles this afternoon at Michigan Stadium. How will the Wolverines make do against the EMU spread attack? Will Chad Henne's knee hold up in his first time back as the full-time starter.

Here goes another one of those games that should be 'a gimme' ... these 'gimmes' haven't worked out so far this year, have they. But here's crossing the fingers and saying...
Prediction: Michigan 35 EMU 7

Sam Webb
I don't think Eastern Michigan has the playmakers to get anything going on offense. On defense, they have a good defensive front with Jason Jones and Josh Hunt and they'll command Michigan's respect, but with Chad Henne back in the lineup the Wolverines will be able to make the Eagles pay for selling out against the run.
Prediction: Michigan 38 EMU 10

Bret Osburn
Michigan has the weapons on both sides of the ball to offset the fact that the Eagles will run another spread offense at the Maize and Blue. Chad Henne will use this opportunity to get back into sync with his receivers, but the loss of Manningham means the Wolverines deep ball threat won't be on the field, and Mike Hart will take advantage of that as he breaks the U-M career rushing record.
Prediction: Michigan 34 EMU 13
