Media Day Photo Gallery (Part 2)

After the media day festivities were over on Tuesday, the Michigan basketball team made its way out to the track to run the mile. The time requirements are much more stringent this year (5:30 for guards & forwards, and 5:45 for big men). GoBlueWolverine was on hand for the impressive display of endurance, and all but three Wolverines made it in the allowed time (by our unofficial count).

Jevohn Shepherd and Jerret Smith

John Beilein monitors the pace

Kelvin Grady and K'len Morris lead the pack

Morris distanced himself from the field, fininshing the mile in just over five minutes

Grady finished second... well under the 5:30 requirement

Shepherd eyes the finish line

Jerret Smith digs for the finish

Deshawn Sims ran with the little guys because he wants to get some time at the 2/3 this year. Those players must complete the mile in 5:30

The look of a man having second thoughts! Sims finished in an impressive 5:36...but will still have to shave it to 5:30

God PLEASE let this be almost over!

Anthony Wright didn't quite make his requirement, but he did finish in under six minutes...which is far better than last season
