"After meeting with Kendric over the past few days, we have mutually decided that he will leave the Michigan Basketball program," said Michigan headman John Beilein. "Kendric is a talented young man and we wish him nothing but success in the future."
Price sat out his initial season as a Wolverine in order to redshirt, and saw extremely limited court time under Tommy Amaker last year. The 6-8, 205-pounder is an outstanding athlete, but he is contemplating hanging up his gym shoes for good.
"After much thought throughout the fall and over the last few weeks, I
feel that I need to step away," said Price. "I am thankful for the
opportunity that was given to me here at Michigan, but I am going to take some
time to concentrate on my academic career and decide if I want to further pursue
my playing career."
