Ill. OL Mike Jones Describes PSU Game Visit

All-American offensive lineman Mike Jones from Oak Lawn, Ill., Richards came to the Big House for the PSU victory. He talked to us Sunday night about the visit, and about upcoming visits.

We asked All-American offensive lineman Mike Jones (6-5, 305 lbs., 5.1 in the 40, 2.8 GPA/20 ACT) from Oak Lawn, Ill., Richards how he liked his Michigan visit Saturday for the PSU game.

"The visit went great. We got there for pregame warm-ups. I was on the sideline, and got to watch Coach Moeller (Wolverine offensive line coach) put the Michigan offensive linemen through their pregame drills. Then I watched the DL's and OL's go against each other in drills. That pregame experience was definitely a highlight for me. Then we sat in the stands, front row 50 yard line. It was a great game to watch, one of most exciting I've ever seen. The crowd was great, real loud. Michigan seems like a great place to play. After the game, we talked with Coach Hoke (Michigan's defensive line coach), and mainly with Coach Sheridan (recruiting coordinator), Coach Moeller and Coach Carr. We stayed for about 1/2 hour after the game talking to them."

Do you have any official visits scheduled?

"I haven't scheduled any yet, but will start doing so in the near future. Michigan will definitely be one."

What other schools have you chosen to visit?

"I am keeping my options open; I'm not sure on any other visits yet."

Do you think you'll come to any other Michigan games?

"I'm not sure. I'd love to go to the Michigan/Iowa game, that'll be a great game."

Jones is The Insider's #68 prospect. His brother played for Notre Dame.
