All-American wide receiver/cornerback Antonio Cromartie (6-4, 200 lbs., 4.4 in the 40, 10.7 100 meters, 2.5 GPA) from Tallahassee, Fla., Lincoln was suppossed to make his official visit to Michigan for the Aug. 31 Washington game. But his game the Thursday before was postponed due to lightning to Aug. 31. So yours truly asked him whether he has rescheduled it.
"Yes I have, for the 10th through 12th of January."
Have you scheduled any other official visits?
"Oklahoma Dec. 20th, Florida the 17th of Jan., and Alabama the 24th of Jan. I'm not sure right now who the 5th will be. I'm not planning any more right now. Florida State, Miami, LSU -- it'll be one of those for the last one."
How is your season so far?
"We're 5-0-1. We had to come back from 16 down at the half to get the tie. I returned the second half kickoff for a touchdown. For the season I have 15 catches for 280 yards; I've scored five touchdowns, two on kick returns."
Cromartie is TheInsiders's #24 prospect.
Note: the 'surprise' here is that FSU is not an official visit for sure -- he committed to them last year when it was thought for a while that he was a senior. Of course FSU is 'hometown' for Cromartie -- and thus still may well be the 'odds-on' fav.
Our recruiting pledge: only Real Recruits and Real Updates! No fluffy filler.
