Lloyd Carr to announce retirement

Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr will announce his retirement Monday at a 10 am news conference, the Detroit News reported Sunday. Carr has been the head man for 13 years, and has spent a total of 28 years on the Wolverines sideline.

While speculation has been rampant that the announcement would take place after the OSU game, Carr told the team and staff of his plans during a meeting Sunday morning.
