It has been confirmed -- Coach Carr is retiring tomorrow morning.
A source speaking to GBW on condition of anonymity: "The meeting with the players was at 4 PM and just concluded. Coach Carr said he still loves the game, but he's been there 28 years ... the man is 63 years old and a little tired. He's in good health and has had a great run ... but he wants to leave while he's healthy."
Carr told his players he will coach through U-M's bowl game.
