The No. 1 ranking was up for grabs this week after Miami of Ohio's stunning 3-0 loss to Alaska in Oxford, Ohio on Saturday night. Which of the four teams skating for the countries top honor was picked as the No. 1 team in the nation heading into the holiday break? Michigan finished the first half of the season with a record of 16-2-0. At 11-1-0 in the CCHA, the Wolverines are now done until after the holiday break. Michigan's next game is scheduled for Friday, December 28 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The Wolverines will be meeting Providence in the first round of the 43rd annual GLI.
