Michigan in the Polls

Michigan finished its first week at No. 1 with a two-game sweep of the Western Michigan Broncos this past weekend. How did the pair of wins impact the national polls? Are the Michigan Wolverines still ranked No. 1 in the nation? Is Michigan vs. Notre Dame this weekend still a match up of top 10 teams?

Michigan entered last week ranked No. 1 in both of the national polls. On Tuesday night the team skated to a dominating 5-1 win over the United States National Team Developmental Program Under-18 team. The team followed that up with an even more impressive weekend that included a 6-1 win on Friday night and a 5-1 win in Kalamazoo on Saturday. How did the Wolverines week impact the polls? Is Michigan still holding onto the No. 1 ranking?
