“Man I had a great time up there," Floyd said after returning home to Greenville, South Carolina from his official visit to Ann Arbor. "Hanging out with the guys was real nice."
One of the highlights of the trip came when Floyd and his fellow recruits had a chance to visit Michigan Stadium. It proved to be quite a memorable experience.
“We went inside to the BIG HOUSE and came down on the field I was just impressed with the feeling of the stadium," said Floyd. "Thinking about the teams that they have played in here like Ohio State… it just felt good to be in there. Seeing the renovations and the model of the stadium and what it is going to look like is was quite nice too."
Floyd didn't just spend his time taking in the sites though. He also made it a point to get a feel for some of the other prospects on the visit.
"Mike Martin is a really big guy who is real cool to be around," Shaw said. "Michigan is getting a big catch with that guy. Michael Shaw seemed to have a great time, but he might end up at Penn State. Brandon Moore is a lot bigger then I thought. He is a good guy to be around. Terrelle Pryor is a real cool guy as well. He is a little laid back just taking it all in. I believe that he is coming to Michigan. Just looking at the whole weekend and all, it appears that everything is falling into place for him to come to Michigan. With Ryan Mallett gone it is pretty laid out for him to go to Michigan."
And how about Floyd? Was the visit enough to basically end his recruitment as another internet report suggests?
“I don’t know where that came from because I never said anything like that," he said. "I had a terrific time up there. I had a great time with all of the guys, but I will be visiting Tennessee. After that visit I will decide where I will go."
