One guy visiting Michigan this weekend who knows what he's doing is linebacker Taylor Hill (6-2, 210) from Cardinal Mooney.
"I'm not taking any more visits or anything, I'm done ..."
Unlike the out-of-area recruits who made up the majority of visitors this past weekend, Hill wasn't a newcomer to Ann Arbor.
"This wasn't my first time at Michigan. I was there for their Junior day last year."
In fact there was a whole contingent of Cardinal Mooney kids at the Junior Day a year ago January, including Hill.
Did he get to know the new Michigan coaching staff?
"I got to talk to all the coaches, but mainly Coach Shafer the defensive coordinator, and Coach Hopson, my position coach."
"They talked to me about the defensive schemes we'll be running, and what spot they might want me to play at."
"They told me they thought after watching my film that I could play any of the linebacker positions ... but more than likely they'll put me at the SAM spot."
We asked Taylor about the more fun parts of the visit.
"My host was Brandon Herron and we hung around with Troy Woolfolk and Terrence Robinson. We had a great time seeing Ann Arbor Friday and Saturday nights."
So ... what does Hill think about Michigan's shot at slot-WR Robinson?
"He had a real good visit ... I'll be surprised if he doesn't commit to Michigan."
Did Robinson say he had it down to two?
"Ummm, not really ... just Michigan."
