Palushaj CCHA Rookie of the Week

Freshman Aaron Palushaj was named the CCHA Rookie of the Week for his three assist performance this weekend against Lake Superior State. Michigan won 4-2 on both nights. Palushaj recorded two assists in the Friday night game, and one more in the Saturday night win. Palushaj now holds the team lead with 24 assists.

Michigan icer Aaron Palushaj was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week for his three assist performance against the Lake Superior State Lakers this past weekend at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor.

Palushaj recorded a pair of assists on Friday night, including the game-winner, and chipped in with the primary assist on the Wolverines second goal of the game against the Lakers on Saturday night.

The Wolverines freshman wing now has a 7-24-31 line through his first year in Ann Arbor. His 24 assists rank second in the nation among freshman, and first on the Michigan team.

He was also the CCHA Rookie of the Week after a three-point weekend against Alaska in early November.

With the injury to Chad Kolarik, Palushaj is a viable candidate to skate on the Wolverines top line in a match up with No. 6 Michigan State.
