Boren Coming Up

As the list grows and grows for next Thursday's Michigan Junior Day and "Night of Champions," GBW caught up with 'legacy-recruit' Zach Boren to see if he's coming in for it .. and to get the latest from Zack.

Zach Boren is a 6-1, 250 pound linebacker from Pickerington Central in the Columbus area. His dad, Mike, was of course a linebacker for Bo back in the old-glory days.

We asked Zach if he was planning to make it up to Michigan again:

"Yeah, I'm coming up for Michigan's Junior Day."

He caught us up on the latest regarding scholarship offers:

"Toledo has offered me ... I went to Cincinnati recently and I think they're close to offering ... and I think Ohio State is close to offering."

Zack has been up to Ann Arbor once before to meet the new-U-M regime:

"I went up with my dad when they had all the former players come in (on Feb. 13). I got to talk with Coach Rodriguez briefly, and we'll talk again at the Junior Day."

Like his older brother, Wolverine OL-star Justin Boren, Zach is a weight room warrior, which did not go unnoticed during the Feb. 13th visit:

"I went into the new weight room and met Coach Barwis. I got to play around with the new equipment a little ... and Coach Barwis said he'd be happy to see me offered by Michigan ..."

"... so we'll see how it goes."
