When GoBlueWolverine last checked in with Houston (TX) Eisenhower S/WR Craig Loston, he had not yet gotten his hands on a scholarhsip offer from the University of Michigan. Soon afterward, however, that changed.
“I got the (Michigan) offer,” said Loston. “The date says February 18th. I’m really considering them.”
In the weeks since the Wolverines stepped more definitively to the plate, Loston’s cousin, fellow Michigan target Russell Shepard committed to LSU. That development has helped the Tigers cause, but not enough to put them out front.
Loston is still open to overtures from other suitors, including those that may not have jumped in with him fully as of yet. That said, the aforementioned programs will have the opportunity to further distance themselves from the pack if they can get the talented five-star prospect on their campuses for visits.
“I know I’m going to Clemson in April,” Loston reported. “We’ll have to see where else I go.”
“I am interested in visiting Michigan,” the youngster replied when asked if he planned to make his way to the Great Lake State. “I haven’t talked to (the coaches) about yet, though.”
Schools looking to schedule Loston as a guest will be best served to do it as quickly as possible since it’s very likely that he will make an early decision
“I might do mine (i.e. make a commitment) right before the season starts,” he said.
GoBlueWolverine will have more on Craig Loston in the coming weeks.
