Regarding Michigan commitment tight end/offensive lineman Adam Kraus (6-6, 275 lbs., 4.9 in the 40, 300-lb. bench press, strong student) from New Orleans Brother Martin:
He and his parents are coming up for the Wisconsin game ... it'll be an unofficial visit.

Regarding All-American wide receiver Jayson Swain (Nov. 2 official visit, 6-2, 205 lbs., 4.45 in the 40, 34-inch vertical jump, 2.8 GPA/15 ACT) from Huntsville, Alabama, Grissom:
Michigan really went all out on his official visit, and had a great time with him. Here are a couple more tidbits on his visit. Matt Gutierrez also spent a lot of time with him. And Swain is coming back in January for an unofficial visit -- you can guess what he wants to check out ...
By the way, if you'd already gotten the impression that Michigan really went all in hosting official visitors Swain, Ryan Mundy and Paul Oliver, you were right. When I saw them all going to dinner with hosts Marlin Jackson, Steve Breaston and Darnell Hood (Michigan's top freshman cornerback, and a charasmatic personality), plus Michigan coaches Teryl Austin (DB coach, plus the recruiter of Mundy and Oliver) and recruiting coordinator Bill Sheridan ... well, there were a lot of future NFL DB's and wideouts in that group.
One final note on Swain. This was a case where getting the first visit was important, since Michigan went into the visit trailing Alabama and Tennessee, and fighting the 'too far away' label. The Tide and Vols will still prove to be formidable recruiting opponents for him, as will Georgia. But the fact that he went home with the Wolverines as his leader means Michigan put itself in the strongest possible position for him.

Regarding All-American linebacker Lamarr Woodley (MSU Nike stats: 6-1 1/2, 250 lbs., 4.0 in the shuttle; 4.72 in the 40, 4.0 in the shuttle, 29-inch vertical jump, 315-lb. bench press, 2.9 GPA/16 ACT) from Saginaw, Mich.:
I called him this week because or rumors that he might make his decision before the basketball season starts -- which might put Michigan in a strong position for him. However, he did not give any indication that this was in-fact the case, did he?
