Lamarr Lays It All Out

Super recruit Lamarr Woodley from Saginaw Michigan is able to focus more on recruiting now -- his football season is over and his basketball season is yet to start. So he is taking good advantage -- he has lots of exciting things going on recruiting-wise!

Yours truly reached All-American linebacker Lamarr Woodley (Dec. 6 official visit, MSU Nike stats: 6-1 1/2, 250 lbs., 4.0 in the shuttle; 4.72 in the 40, 4.0 in the shuttle, 29-inch vertical jump, 315-lb. bench press, 2.9 GPA/16 ACT) from Saginaw, Mich. (The Insiders' #2 prospect) after school today (Thursday).

Lamarr, I bet you're making good use of this time, to set and make visits.

"Yeah I am. I'm going to the Michigan game this Saturday. Two of my teammates are going with me, Leon Pritchett and Herbert Warren. I'm not sure if Demarcus (Laury, Woodley's junior RB cousin) is going yet, and Jerome (Jackson, senior RB teammate and fellow Michigan recruit) has to take his girl to a formal dance that night."

"Also, Jerome and I went to a Michigan practice Tuesday with Coach D (Saginaw Head Coach Donald Durrett). It was great to get the chance to see how a college practice goes. Michigan looks ready to go this weekend."

"The rest of my visits are pretty set now: Jerome and I go to Oklahoma November 22. I go to USC November 29. Then Jerome and I go to Michigan December 6. I'll visit Florida in January -- the 10th I think. Jerome and I were supposed to go to Michigan State this weekend you know, but they have to wait until they get a new coaching staff in place."

In ten games this season, playing linebacker and defensive end, Woodley recorded 90 tackles and 10 sacks.
