The Wolverine chatted again with Barry Richard, father of Super quarterback Clayton Richard (Nov. 15 official visit, 6-5, 225 lbs., 4.7 in the 40, 4.0 GPA/1340 SAT) from Lafayette, Ind., McCutcheon. Here are a couple things pertinent to Michigan fans.
"Coach Carr will come here for his in-home visit on Tuesday, December 3. I think he'll bring Coach Moeller and maybe Coach Loeffler with him. We'll hopefully get our questions answered then, about whether they (coaches) plan to stay at Michigan, that type of thing. It is important to Clayton that his head coach and position coach would stay for his whole career. We'll also ask about baseball again. So far Coach Carr has been real good about that."
"It's been several days after his Michigan visit now. And Clayton says had a great time. He was real impressed with (Wolverine freshman quarterback) Matt Gutierrez talking to him about being teammates if Clayton picks Michigan. That they would compete, but be teammates and friends."
Richard passed for 2,920 yards this season, and he finished his high school career with 10,764 yards and 92 touchdowns in four seasons. His best rating is from Tom Lemming/Prep Football Report, where he is rated the #27 prospect overall.
