After watching the Michigan Wolverines struggle on the offensive line in their disappointing loss to the Toledo Rockets Saturday, Detroit Cass Tech star William Campbell received definitive word that he'd have the opportunity to pursue a not often attempted goal.
"They're saying I could play both ways," Campbell said. "I want to play both ways my freshman year. I think I'd start on D and play some O."
"I didn't talk to (Coach Rodriguez) because he was kind of mad (about the loss)," he continued. "I talked to Coach Tony Dews, Coach Frey, and Coach Shafer too. They were talking to me about playing offensive line. If they need me more on offense, I'll play that. I trying to go both ways, though"
Saturday marked Campbell's fourth unofficial visit of the season to Michigan. He will likely be back in an unofficial capacity a number of times before the season ends, but he will also make his way to a few other campuses for official visits as well.
"I've got Miami December (13th and 14th), and Michigan December 6th (for the Duke basketball game). I go down to LSU November 8th. USC… I haven't talked to them in a while. I don't know why. I just haven't called them."
GoBlueWolverine will have more on Campbell in the coming weeks.
