Brandin Hawthorne has had his strength-of-commitment to Michigan questioned since he made his verbal August 30th, though the youngster has always stated he'll be a Wolverine when it comes time to sign his name to his national letter of intent.
He has firmed this up with GoBlueWolverine.
"I'm done with visits. I was supposed to go to Iowa State this weekend but I'm not going. I want to try to make an unofficial back to Michigan cause I just loved it up there."
Canceling a visit and wishing to make another visit to the school he's pledged to indicates that the 'deal is sealed'.
"Oh yeah, my commitment is solid. I feel I can go up there and make an impact and get a chance to start. I talked to Martavious Odoms a week after my visit and his big game, and he told me that when they get him the ball he's going to make plays."
"He told me when I come up there I have to make plays and shine on that defensive side of the ball," quipped Hawthorne to GBW.
So with all commitment questions put to pasture by Brandin, many are wondering how the standout and his Pahokee Blue Devils team are performing on the field this season.
"Our season is going great. I mean we lost to the team from South Carolina. I didn't get a chance to play last week because I have a bruised muscle on the top of my calf and the doctor told me to sit out two weeks, but we've got a bye this weekend so I'll only have to miss the one game."
