Peace Weighing Pros/Cons of UM

South Grand Prairie, TX ATH Dewayne Peace made his way back to Ann Arbor Saturday, this time for an official visit. Will the versatile youngster's visit to Michigan be his last college trip, or is he still looking to take others?

Like most prospects that take in a game it the Big House, Grand Prairie, TX wideout Dewayne Peace was blown away by the vision of the winged helmets playing in front of 100,000 people.  At the same time, he was blown away, literally, by the crisp fall air.

"When we first got there we ate with the coaches and went to the game," said Peace.  "Then we went out and just chilled with the players for a little bit.  In the morning we woke up and ate breakfast.  They took us on a tour of the facilities and they took us on a tour of the work center and the dorms."

"As far as football, it's pretty much a dream," Peace continued.  "They are playing a lot of freshman, they've got really good coaches, and they're going to be a good team.  I talked to running back from Florida (Vincent Smith), and he liked it a lot.  Of course I was with Shavodrick Beaver because me and him came down together.  Of course Shavodrick loved it.  I talked to everybody.  It's just the cold… the living situation… am I really going to be comfortable living there for four years?"

Peace sought the perspective of the players from southern states already on the roster, but wasn't able to get a consensus about what the adjustment would be like.

"I talked to Feagin," Peace recalled.  "He was my host and he's from Florida.  I talked to McGuffie… he's from Houston.  Everybody had different answers.  Some people said you get used to the cold… other people said you never get used to the cold.  It's more mentally… you've really got to be prepared if you want to come to the school."

So is Peace mentally prepared to deal with the northern climate, or is it something he has to think more about?

"It probably would be more of a thought because I'm planning on going on a couple of more visits," Peace admitted.  "It's really a gut feeling, and if I feel like it fits that's where I'm going to end up.  I still consider myself committed (to Michigan).  Of course I'm going to try Boston College, Oklahoma, Florida, and probably Texas Tech.  The closest visit (to being set up) is Boston College.  Florida said I need to set up a visit because I really just started talking to Florida.  I really just started talking to Texas Tech.  They are all saying I need to set up visits, but I haven't done it yet.  I probably will shortly.  I think a lot of them probably want me to come after the season.  Probably after my visits I'll know where I feel more comfortable at."

GoBlueWolverine will have more on Peace in the coming weeks.
