Tyler Blandin, the 2010 cornerback from Fort Meade, Fla., visited Ann Arbor unofficially with several friends, including Jr. commit Ricardo Miller and Jr. S Marvin Robinson, for the annual battle against Michigan State.
Blandin could easily be considered one of the top prospects in the state of Florida in his 2010 class. While he holds no offers yet, the slender 6-footer's blazing 4.4 speed in the forty and lock down abilities will certainly draw serious interest from across the nation.
This past Saturday-Sunday, the youngster visited Michigan, and he came away extremely impressed with what the Wolverine's had to offer, despite falling to arch rival Michigan State.
"It went fine. I really liked it up there. The atmosphere, the people around. And I really like the coaching staff and my recruiting Coach Rod Smith," Blandin told GoBlueWolverine.
Many think this was Blandin's first trip up north; however, that isn't the case at all.
"I got to meet some of the players in the past at the Penn State and Ball State games. I wasn't on a visit, I just came up to watch them play."
This time it was an unofficial visit in and of itself, and with several other Florida prospects. Long time friend, and long said to be a Michigan lean, Marvin Robinson was with him, as well as 2010 commit Ricardo Miller. Though he won't step foot on campus for nearly two years, Miller made some strong overtures to Blandin.
"It helps me that they'll be up there with me and I won't be by myself. I've known Marvin for a real long time. And I just met Ricardo -- he's a really good person. He really encouraged me to join him in the recruiting class."
Although he didn't get his offer on his visit, the coaches are telling him it could come very soon.
"They told me they want to offer me sometime before May at the latest."
And when that offer does come, will it cement a decision from the talented prospect?
"If they offer me, I'm coming there. They are the school that I like the most, and I want to go there."
