Jerome Jackson (MSU Nike stats: 5-11 1/2, 193 lbs. ... 4.45 in the 40, 3.5 GPA/16 ACT) from Saginaw, Mich. sounded very tired but he still took the time out to talk to me, which I greatly appreciate. He had questions that needed to be addressed by the staff and it sounds like they did a good job of providing answers. Here are the significant portions of our Q&A.
How did your visit go?
"It went real good."
Who was your host?
"Roy Manning." [Note: Manning is a Saginaw alumnus]
What did you guys do?
"Basically we hung out with the fellas, talked to the academic people, and I got a chance to sit down to talk to Lloyd Carr this morning, and to my position coach."
So, did you get all of your questions answered?
"Yep. I got all of my questions answered and then some!"
What position did Michigan tell you you'd be playing?
The obvious next question is how close are you to making a decision?
"I'm real close. I plan on thinking over, talking it over with my parents and my brother (Minnesota RB Terry Jackson), and then making my decision right after Christmas vacation."
Are you still going to visit MSU?
"I doubt it. I'm through, I'm through."
So, no matter who they name coach, you probably still won't visit?
Jackson has already made official visits to Purdue and Minnesota (for the U-M game), and to Oklahoma Nov. 22 with Lamarr Woodley.
