William Campbell - Army All American

Surrounded by a crowd of his peers, Detroit Cass Tech's William Campbell received his official invitation to the US Army All American game held in San Antonio.

Flanked by his teammates, Michigan commitments Thomas Gordon and Teric Jones, and his coach, former Wolverine Thomas Wilcher, he gladly accepted his position as one of the best high school football players in the country. Campbell, who is due to take an official visit to Alabama this weekend, took time to thank his family for helping him be in this position and his coaching staff for giving him the opportunity to play football.

Coach Wilcher mentioned that Campbell's mother made him promise to give him playing time when she agreed to let him play for the Technicians. Wilcher also said that it was an honor to have coached Campbell and that he was proud of his accomplishments. Big Will took all of the attention in stride enjoying the support of his fellow Technicians as they watched the ceremony in the Cass Tech lunchroom. He also took some good natured ribbing from Michigan commit Teric Jones, who offered his UM hat for Campbell to wear while taking pictures in his US Army jersey.
