San Diego Paper Makes Hall Commit Official

The North County Times: "I'll always be a Panther,'' said (Vista, Calif. Athlete) <B>Leon Hall</b>. "I'll have to keep my Vista stuff in one side of my closet and my Wolverine stuff on the other. An unbelievable weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can just go out and play now."

Wednesday afternoon GoBlueWolverine 'broke' the news that Vista Coach Chris Hauser told us (via email) that All American cornerback Leon Hall (Jan 10 official visit, USC Nike Stats: 5-11, 175 lbs., 4.42 in the 40, 4.19 shuttle, 33 inch vertical jump) from Vista, Calif. had committed to Michigan -- to Assistant Coach Brady Hoke Tuesday evening at Hoke's in-home visit. We will wait until after Vista's Div. 1 SoCal finals game this Saturday to talk to Leon.

In the meantime however, the North County Times report makes the commitment "Official!"

For the season (going into the Dec. 14 Div. 1 SoCal championship game for 10-2 Vista) Hall has 22 catches as a receiver, and 46 tackles and two interceptions as a cornerback. He is The Insiders' #78 prospect.
