For the first time this season for the 2-6 Wolverines, they were hot from three-point land, shooting 7 for 18 for 40%, led by Blanchard who went 5-7.
Four of Blanchard's three-pointers came in the first half, as Michigan ran out to a 38-25 lead.
Starting center freshman Graham Brown added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Wolverines, and frosh guard Lester Abram and junior forward Bernard Robinson added 13 each. The Wolverines shot 54% overall and also outrebounded Charleston Southern (4-2) 35-30.
