Mike Forcier, father of San Diego Scripps Ranch QB commit Tate Forcier (6-0.5, 190), said to GBW Friday night:
"Tate is all graduated! He just did it."
"He'll be in Ann Arbor on January 3rd, and he will start right in with workouts and with Barwis."
"Coach Rod called me this afternoon (evening in Michigan) and told me about Shavodrick -- I thought he was pulling my leg at first!"
"Beaver's mom is the one who called Rod and told him."
"Coach Rod said to me that it was probably better that Shavodrick did it (decommitted) now rather than leaving after the spring."
"Coach Rod will try to sign another quarterback - but he won't be coming in in the winter of course."
"Well, Tate will work real hard over the winter and spring, you know that. He'll do a lot of throwing in voluntary practices ... we're told he has the big-time arm and that Barwis will make it even stronger."
"And he has friends up there on campus, and family in the Detroit area ... so there'll be no problems in that regard with Tate!"
