ScoutTV: Teric Jones Senior Highlights

Teric Jones had a big senior season for Cass Tech. Many wondered if the first year starter could carry the load for the Technicians, but he did that and then some, earning All-State honors and leading the team into the playoffs.

Teric Jones came into the season fairly unproven at running back. He only had 83 carries as a junior, although he averaged nearly 10 yards a carry on those 83.

Still, he entered his senior year with a lot of questions, despite already being committed to Michigan. Pundits and opposing teams called him out for being merely a combine player after he ran a 4.37 at the U.S. Army All-American Combine.

Determined to show he was much more than a time on a stopwatch, Jones went out and earned All-State special mention and All-Detroit honors after rushing for 1,663 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also showed he was more than just a speed back.

At 5'9, 195-lbs, he is solidly built and has a low center of gravity. As a result, he is tough to bring down and that combined with his elusiveness, breakaway ability and receiving skills gives him a chance to make an impact at Michigan.
