Zuttah and Van Dyke

New Jersey OL <B>Zeff Zuttah</b>'s decision has prematurely leaked, and <B>Doug Van Dyke</b> picks Purdue.

First All-American offensive lineman Jeff Zuttah (Dec. 13 official visit, 6-4 1/2, 280 lbs., 4.95 in the 40, 390 lb. bench press) from The Hun School, Princeton, New Jersey. We'd talked to Jeff, and have statements from him all typed up and ready to go -- but we'd promised to wait until he made his announcement -- which he planned to do tomorrow. He has not even down his 'turn-downs' yet! Jeff just told us (at 3 PM EST) he's a little miffed about the whole thing!

Jeff's head coach, who does not work at The Hun School, inadvertently leaked this ahead of time this afternoon. But we have to hold to our word to Jeff!

Now you know why Michigan and Ill. OL Mike Jones parted ways on Tuesday.

Next All-American defensive/tight end Doug Van Dyke (Dec. 6 official visit, 6-4 1/2, 235 lbs., 4.8 in the 40, 2.4 GPA/21 ACT) from Marshall, Mich. As expected, he committed to Purdue. Yours truly (Tom Beaver) has talked to Doug many times over the last several months, and he always told me Michigan was his leader. But for the first time this past weekend, he wouldn't say it. When he dropped his Wisconsin visit last weekend he leaked to them that it was going to be Purdue. Michigan coaches were back in his home last night (Herrmann and Moeller, not Carr), but could not turn him back around. Doug's mom this morning said her 'good-byes' to yours truly. We wish Doug well.
