Badger 7-on-7 Tourney Review (part 2)

Florida insider "Braylon801" provides scouting reports on the UM targets in action as last weekend's Bandger Sports 7-on-7 passing tournanment in Tampa, FL. Word on MArvin Robinson, Cassius McDowell, Lo Wood, and more

Let's start with QB - Jarred Haggins- Jarred had a solid weekend showed he has the tools to play QB on the next level with great arm strength. He needs to work on going thru progressions, but make no mistake, he could end up in the top one to three dual threat QB's in the state.  In my opinion, right now he should be a top 250 kid. In my opinion he would be the perfect second QB for Michigan to pursue in the 2010 class because he also plays WR & S. Keep an eye & a half on him!

RB's   First off Cassius McDowell is a guy that UM would be fortunate to land & I have a very very good feeling they will. He showed great speed and hands, and showed an ability to make catches down field over the shoulder.  He was also very elusive. What really stood out about Cassius was his personality. This kid NEVER stopped smiling.  He just gives off good vibes

2011 RB Jaares McRoy - This kid is simply electric.  The things he does with the ball in his hands are crazy.  You would have to show me who in the state is more explosive than Javares. He has super hands and a lot of wiggle.  The thing with Javares is he is a very humble kid.  He made some unreal plays all weekend, but carried himself like a seasoned vet. Whoever lands Javarves will have a utility man to say the least. I would not be surprised to see Javares & Hart ranked as the two of the top backs in Florida in 2011. (BTW Hart did not play due to track)

WR's- Kenny Shaw & Ricardo Miller both played but very minimal, Kenny bad foot & Ricardo sore quad

Jeamaih Crawford left the tournament early on a broken collar bone

**** Biggest Surprise **** TC Robinson - TC who is actually the cousin of Marvin picked up the slack with all the other WR's down and made several big time catches including a few scores.  As great as he played at WR, he was better at CB, proving he has the skills to lock it down at CB. He was physical & understands that he was stronger than most WR's he faced.  At 5'10 185 he looks very similar to Marvin on a shorter frame. Big arms thick chest & neck. He made some huge plays on D.  I think his stock will rise quickly.  Look for some offers to start rolling in very soon. I think mechanics is where he needs work but those are things that can be corrected....

2011 Karlos Williams -  Made a splash this weekend as well. 6'2 190 Safety/WR that over the weekend showed he could shut down airways on the D.  He showed speed & great hands on offense.  He ran past the D on a couple of occasions for TD's. Brother Vince was a four star LB & plays at Florida State.  Right now, Karlos is already a bigger prospect than Vince which says a lot because Vince was & is a beast! Could he be the top guy in the state for 2011?? He will be in the top 10. Mark it down...

DB's Nickell Robey - Nickell simply locked the field down.  Nickell showed that his size was not a factor as he used his hands well off the line great strength & awesome speed & jumping ability. He is a talented corner that will be an impact player on the next level on both sides of the ball

Lo Wood - Lo made his point over and over, that point was ‘I'm a lockdown corner with great cover skills.'  He has solid speed, great ball skills, and reads very well. Size was a major advantage that he had over most of the other FL CBs.  He utilized it. He covered Chris Dunkley better than anyone. He is by far one of the most underrated kids I've seen this spring.  Look for his stock to rise.

Marvin Robinson - Is he legit ??? I think he proved his point. There were ZERO deep passes thrown on him in this event that I saw. A lot of people talk about LB for Marvin. The kid plays where he wants. He roamed the field like a hawk all tourney with several break ups, INTs & just intimidation. Many onlookers said they noticed WR's scared to catch the ball with him lurking...He will impact early on the next level & proved he is underrated as well. If his stock does not rise, something is really wrong!

This is part one hope to have some game film up soon & more eval coming soon!
