Michigan's spring game was definitely one to remember for Canton McKinley LB Jewone Snow. It was a picture perfect day in Ann Arbor, he was in the Big House with his dad who played on that very same field, and the fans came out in droves.
"It was great," Snow said regarding his time in Ann Arbor. "All those people! They had over 50,000 fans watching."
Another big part of the day was the pre-game tour of the facilities. They too received glowing marks.
"We went to the weight room -- it's so big and everything is new," said Snow. "Then with the academics, they're at the top. Michigan is ranked like the #1 public school in the country."
After the tour, Snow had some time to settle in before sitting down for some one-on-one time with the coaches.
"I talked to my area recruiter, coach Rodriquez, and coach Singletary," he recalled. "They told me not to rush, to take my time, and give them a chance. Coach Rodriquez said the coaches talk about offering me on a regular basis."
While his relationship with the school up north is progressing, his involvement with the Buckeyes is fading.
"I haven't heard from (Ohio State) in awhile. I'll most likely be playing (college football) away from Columbus."
Those words may be music to his Dad's ears, but he's doing his best to be fair to his son's forthcoming decision.
"He's still a big Michigan guy," Snow said regarding his father. "My Dad was glad to be back up there. But in the end, he wants what's best for me."
